Meet Monique Melton
Creative Director. Artist. Stylist. Intuitive Healer. Philanthropist.
Liberated Living is something that’s been quietly blossoming in my spirit for over a decade. I’m officially expanding my work into interior styling, sacred space design, and art commissions—bringing together years of creative exploration with a refined, global perspective.
When designing our current home, I spent four hours with an interior designer at a furniture store, finalizing pieces for the space. As we layered textures, played with colors, and talked through my vision, she stopped and said, “You’re a natural. Your attention to detail and sense of color are incredible. You have to do this.” That moment felt like divine confirmation for something I’d been holding in my heart since my son was born: the desire to create spaces and art that are beautiful, liberated, soulful, and deeply supportive.
This work is an embodied extension of my teaching on liberation. It’s about creating environments that hold you, reflect your truest self, and become sanctuaries where rest, joy, and freedom are not just ideas—but lived experiences.
My Background:
I’ve been creating beautiful, intentional spaces since my first college dorm, later designing homes in the U.S., Spain, and Toronto. Having lived abroad in Spain and Toronto, and traveled widely through London, Paris, Italy, and beyond, I’ve been deeply influenced by diverse cultures, architectural traditions, and historic landmarks. My experiences dining in Michelin-starred restaurants and staying in five-star accommodations sharpened my appreciation for detail, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance—elements that now guide my creative direction.
I began my career as a makeup artist, then moved into business marketing and consulting before founding Shine Bright School—a global community for people dedicated to our collective liberation. Through courses, gatherings, and intentional practices, Shine Bright School provides a space for learning, unlearning, and living into the work of liberation with care and connection.
I am also the founder of the Shine Bright Foundation, launching in 2026, which is dedicated to supporting businesses that provide services and products within the industries of wellness, education, science, and the arts. Through grants and financial support, the Foundation funds initiatives that embody creativity, healing, and collective care.
Alongside these ventures, I’ve always been a self-taught artist and stylist, guided by intuition, energy, and a natural sense for beauty. Today, as a Creative Director and artist, I bring these threads together to curate interiors and fine art that embody intentional luxury, cultural richness, and soul.
I hold a formal education in social science and mental health, am a trained Reiki practitioner, and intuitively incorporate multiple healing practices—energy work, crystals, and more—into my creative process. I’m also a published author and philanthropist, committed to weaving beauty, healing, and liberation into everything I create.
Married to my high school sweetheart and raising two children, I believe that the most liberated spaces are those that nourish the people who live within them.
The Liberated Living Process
A proven path to soulful, elevated spaces.
While each project is completely bespoke, every Liberated Living transformation follows a clear, intentional framework. This process allows me to blend artistry, functionality, and energy alignment in a way that feels effortless for you and deeply transformative for your space.
From our very first conversation to the final reveal, I manage every detail with care, so you can relax and enjoy the unfolding of your vision. The exact steps are proprietary, but what matters most is this: you’ll feel guided, supported, and inspired at every stage.
