Client Goal
The existing powder room was builder-grade and forgettable. The homeowner wanted a space that reflected their creative spirit and felt intentional, expressive, and memorable—without expanding the footprint.
Design Direction
Maximalist with a celestial twist. The vision centered on dramatic contrast, playful elegance, and bold pattern mixing while keeping the room functional and cohesive.
Key Design Decisions
To move from a neutral, functional space to a conversation piece, several bold choices were made:
Statement Wallpaper: Acts as the visual anchor for the room, featuring a repeating celestial sun pattern.
Custom Vanity & Contrast: A sleek, dark vanity was installed to provide a modern, high-contrast element against the busy walls.
Checkerboard Tile: Black and white marble-style flooring was chosen to add "timeless drama" to the floor plane.
Sculptural Mirror: A large, gold sunburst-style mirror was used to play with scale and increase light reflection.
Warm Brass Accents: Gold-toned fixtures and accessories (like the faucet and tall floor vase) were used to create cohesion throughout the design.
